What I Think "BloodChild" by Octavia E. Butler is Commenting About
In my opinion, I think that the story, "BloodChild" by Octavia E. Butler, is referring to people who are lesbian/gay and their acceptance in our society. The reason why I think so, is because of how "T'lics" and "terrans" can be related to the different people in society. The "T'lics" in our society, are the people who aren't lesbian or gay, people who are straight, and not to mention, straight people are much more common than people who are lesbian/gay (which in real life society, are the "terrans"). The story "BloodChild" gives me a feeling that terrans are weaker than T'lics and therefore have to follow or obey what they say, this can also be related to society. We grew up with the influence that girls liking boys and boys liking girls is a normal thing, but we've always excluded the fact that a boy or a girl can like their own gender, and when we were younger, most of us didn't really talk about that
